“I’ve worked with transgender clients who changed their name while in college and experienced a delay in the processing of their student loans once they graduate,'' says Alex Wilson, a financial coach at SmartPath, a membership financial coaching business out of Atlanta  "This can cause many issues such as being unable to consolidate their loans, to start earning credit towards Public Service Loan Forgiveness, the ability to pay back their loans, and of course a lot of stress.
